Projects
In our 2-hour workshop, learn how to grow your own (GYO) organics ANYWHERE in self-watering planters called the EarthBox. Workshops are open to anyone interested in growing their own vegetables, no experience needed.

1) Learn to use these unique, patented containers to grow organic vegetables for your own healthy use. EarthBoxes will be available for sale at discounted prices.

2) Learn more about the growing urban farming movement, why it's important, and how you can make a difference.

Upinde ROOTS provides a viable alternative to help urban residents cut their food expenses and create a small but effective mechanism to control a portion of their food source. Churches, schools, and community organizations can start their own community micro-farms without the need to remediate the soil or to break up concrete in order to start a farming project. Because of its simplicity, it is well suited for seniors, children, and those with disabilities.

"Dear Boku:

The residents at Campbell Village in West Oakland thoroughly enjoyed the urban gardening workshop. It was extremely informative and broadened their perspective on the importance of growing their own food. It has also been great for community building since we are continuing the common interest connection with follow-up meetings. You are a great instructor and we look forward to working with you again in the near future. Please keep me posted on your other projects and programs."
